This seems unclear. On the one hand, the Surya morph gives bonuses to Freefall. On the other hand, the Solarian packages from Transhuman give Flight.
So which skill is it? Or would there be a situation in which they would use both?
I'm leaning towards Freefall, with Flight being an oversight, as from what I understand, movement on microgravity is always handled by Freefall, even if you're using thrusters or other means of locomotion.

I thought suryas swam within
I thought suryas swam within the corona thus being in an atmosphere?

Emphasis added by me. Technically, they neither fly, swim or "freefall" but rather do their own thing surfing through solar winds (which sounds amazing).
Still, skills wise I'm unsure what would be, and the manuals seem confused about this. I think I'm going to go with Freefall as it seems more appropriate (it still is, technically, microgravity).

Suryas are not the only morph
Suryas are not the only morph a Solarion would sleeve into, they also have that lizardish one, the salamander? Plus the numerous types of propulsion that exist for vac morphs, makes me think that Flight would be a really useful skill.
No idea, what the suryas ought to be using, between Flight and Free Fall.

So the Solarian Research pre
So the Solarian Research pre-fab has 0 points in Flight but a whopping 70 in Freefall.
I'm going to take this as a, yes, the "Flight" skill as part of the Solarian package in Transhuman is a blunder, and it should be Freefall :)

They're whales...
Obviously they use Swimming. :P
Honestly, I'd say freefall but default to flying or swimming at -10.

In the past we've had to compensate for weaknesses, finding quick solutions that only benefit a few.
But what if we never need to feel weak or morally conflicted again?

For the Surya module we ran
For the Surya module we ran at Gen Con this year, I gave all the PCs Flight.
Solarian Researcher was in Sunward; TH is a later book. I suggest flight, but given that the mechs for how Suryas move around to begin with aren't fully established, house rule it as you will.

Thanks for that :)
Thanks for that :)
We used Freefall in the end, but as you said, the mechs are not very clear so we just went with what seemed appropiate. Not that the other movement skills see that much use in the Corona...

Been thinking on this bit an
Been thinking on this bit an the closest parallel to how surya move on Earth is the vertical wind tunnels they use to train skydivers. There are some awesome videos on YouTube showing the remarkably fine control these guys can have! http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=iVvRWVoHDb8 However, as there can be an active element in determining movement- using magnetic repulsion or attraction to produce motion- probably flight is the best fit.
Another point this brings up is whether the habs in the corona are in orbit and thus true freefall or holding position and have to have some way of countering the Sun's gravity. Ukko Jylina sounds like it's in orbit but I seem to remember others being described as staying around the poles. Maybe they're completely filled with water letting buoyancy keep the morphs inside from getting crushed. Food for thought.

I'm pretty sure that, by
I'm pretty sure that, by canon, they're essentially bathysphere habs inside enormous tanks, so probably. Maybe they also use solar sails of some sort for position keeping. That close to the sun, there's a lot of stellar wind to harness.
