Anyone ever considered a campaign based around trying to make it as a farmer on Mars?
Obviously, each session isn't going to be, "wake up, roll Profession: Farmer, go back to sleep," but what happens when farming stops being run of the mill, e.g.:
- Something came out of the TQZ; stop it from eating your farmhands/crops;
- Neighbors' daughter is a little too into the Movement, you'll have to stop her from making a suicide bombing "statement" at the Olympus space elevator both out of neighborliness and to keep the authorities from tearing up your settlement;
- Your local credit union thinks the most recent ice asteroid bombing's going to really screw up the weather next cycle, so they're not going to front anyone in your region more credits for planting until the weather restabilizes. This means you have to find out another source of cash for the next crop or go to the big city to beg for seed and fertilizer money from one of the Consortium banks, with all the politics and big city dangers that entails;
- Banditry.
