Morph Diagnostics - How Much Do You Know?
Obviously a character that begins a game in a morph can be assumed to know what's in it. And, likewise, custom-ordering a morph from a scum bodyshop tends to give one a good idea of what that morph can do. But suppose, for some reason, an ego resleeves into a morph it has no prior knowledge of. In the absence of outside assistance, how much does that ego know about the morph, its capabilities, implants and traits? Is the answer different for biomorphs than synths? Than pods?

Basic Mesh Inserts contains
Basic Mesh Inserts contains "biomedical sensors" which give all kinds of feedback information on your health and well being. I would assume that in normal circumstances this would include data about all your internal implants, which would alter your standard health and safety situation, and probably need to be noted by something in case you need medical work done. The function is similar to synthmorphs just more conventional diagnostic. This isn't counting the kind of "patches" done to an Ego during resleeving to handle all the muscle memory and autonomic responses for some kinds of implants, such as realizing you have the innate ability to extrude/retract bioware claws. Now, some of this stuff might be masked or safety precautions skipped over, but in general you should probably be able to review most of your implants. By inference if nothing else. Traits on the other hand, I feel would be more vague. Your biomed sensors might be able to say you have a strong, healthy immune system, but can they point out it is intrinsically enhanced in the form of the Improved Immune System trait? Do they have fine enough feedback to directly comment on increased pain tolerance, and what exactly is the scientific metric on "Tough"? Some traits you can notice by looking in a mirror. Others might suddenly crop up in your neurochemistry without you expecting it.

and then there are the
and then there are the darkcast facilities which you may get the odd morph with implants that are actively shielded from your conscious.

Good you ask
Last session I had such situation. Characters end up in random morphs. Upon regaining consciousness they see a green dot in their field of view. It unfolds into following log:
Quote:

Then it folds back into green dot and Muse shows up in character's FoV. It was printed as a handout for players. Also more detailed info was available in format:
