How's the market on TITAN tech?
While preparing a scenario in the Outer System, I figured I would stick an Iapetus equivalent to a Zone Stalker on the Rhea/Kronos Cluster, but then I wondered what the market was like for TITAN tech both in the Inner System (besides Mars) and the Outer System. Any thoughts?

Well, all of the toys, for
Well, all of the toys, for lack of a better term, you can bring back from the TQZ are very highly valued, Expensive and up, like biomorphs. Relatively stable trinkets like that have a great mass-to-profit ratio. Iapetus is noted for being filled with Earth Relics carried by the poor refus onto the moon before it was taken over, which also has a very high profit rate, though the only indication of the kind of value you can have on an Earth Relic is in some of Transhuman's random tables. Primary profit for TITAN relics seems to be a combination of novelty for the extremely high paying, low self-control slice of transhumanity, or scientific interest. Sci data is going to be very specific, restricted and probably based on commission, unless a scavenger is also a skilled scientist. Just pulling random TITAN junk out of the ground and going "man, SOMEBODY is going to want this" is a usually a lead to Firewall or Ozma getting involved. Somebody probably does want it, but unless you know who that somebody is and how much they're paying, you're probably going to get dead or get Existential'd along the way. Market in the Inner System is probably good, if you know who to talk to. Corps will pay good prices to get solid new materials to work with, and just regular hyperelites would love to drop exhaustive prices on exclusive or unique objects. I'd also wager that the TITAN trade is probably biggest out of the TQZ, because I'm fairly certain nobody goes close enough to poke New Mumbai with a 10ft pole, and Earth has a much higher profit in Pre-Fall artifacts which are way less likely to eat your flesh and then vomit up your bones as a walking talking skeleton with laser eyes, and whose marrow is replaced with hives of nanobees. I imagine it requires a great deal of connections though, because officially just about every government out there will burn you to a crisp for even poking a TITAN object, let alone picking one up and carrying it around. Market in the Outer System is different. As an entity, Anarchists of either stripe probably feel little need for TITAN trinkets, and solid researchable objects are limited to individuals who probably have distinct needs and access to a lot of resources. They might endeavor to find their objects themselves rather than "pay" to do it. And since there's only so much rep you can vote for a guy, you'd need a lot of something to trade for TITAN objects in the Rep Economy. You can only be so solid of a guy. The Jovians and the Commonwealth probably have similar responses to people bandying about TITAN tech, and their respective governments are both probably very careful about poking them, even for valuable strategic or scientific information. The Ultimates probably don't pay for what they can take, either, they prefer to be paid. Even so, there are plenty of groups, collectives and microcorps poking Iapetus for answers, some of which probably involve breaking down or reselling TITAN tech to the right people, but that their market and networking scheme probably isn't the same as Zone Runners.

It sounded like the Titanian
It sounded like the Titanian Fleet kept a very strict quarantine in place around Iapetus, which is why I wondered how people found a way to profit around this. There are plenty of Extropians in the Saturn system.

the market is going to be very very black with extropia probly being the main outlet for both sides of main belt. and most people in the black market probly do not even want to touch it. the aurgonauts might be a good secondary source but they might be a bit paranoid about what you give them. the right contacts in fireewall could e incredibly useful but firewall is more likely to kill you and destroy what you recover. essentially making you a giant stalking goat.

Not necessarily. Firewall may not have Ozma levels of resources, but if you're good at recovering TITAN shit, they could always employ you as a TITAN-shit-recoverer-for-destructionator person.

If I was issued a trustworthy amat-fired neutrino farcaster, I'd be okay with that job description, and so would most other post-fall refugees. Especially the ones with a grudge, and that's most of 'em.
