Eclipse Phase skirmish or wargame
Hi, dear transhumans (and bioconservatives) In February, me and my friends will start an Eclipse Phase campaign called O.D.I.O. (it means "hate" in Italian) While playing as the role playing game we all love, we will play part of it as a wargame with 15mm miniatures. The wargame will deal about events that will change the campaign story. It will not be just some minis on a table while role palying, it will be much more. To give you an example, we will play with miniatures the war for indipendence of a colony from the Jovian Republic and than I will role play an adventure on that colony. It will be still Jovian or indipendent or just a bunch of rubbles? Another wargame campaign will be about the Barsoomian trying to conquer back the Pathfinder Portal on Mars or the Ultimate trying to conquer the Fissure Portal. Yeah, I hope the Ultimate will loose :-) About the wargame, we would use Tomorrow's Word rules. Do someone use Eclipse Phase as backgound for a wargame campaign? Do you have any set of rules for skirmish to suggest? Thank you a lot and remember: "There cannot be another Fall"

I can't say I have ever
I can't say I have ever actually played with the Eclipse Phase setting with any wargame mechanics, however I have given some thought to miniatures before. The game Infinity has some wonderful miniatures and the mechanics may be good for use as a wargame. I would recommend checking it out. The setting of the game doesn't quite fit, but there are some things that do.

I talked with a couple of
I talked with a couple of wargaming friends, who read EP background and are very interested in the setting. We think what makes a really good miniatures game, is the story behind it. We want to play some games connected by the same story, a mini campaign of 2-3 scenarios.. We use miniatures during our regular EP role playing game, when it's time for a firefight but we need a way to manage bigger battles (20 soldiers per side plus some vehicles). I know Infinity but I never played it. Thank you for the suggestion. Luca

Source for Rules Review
G'Day, you might want to check out a blog called Dropship Horizon. It is dedicated to sci fi 15mm gaming. They have a detailed break down on many of the rule sets available. The list what are the characteristics of each. That should help you narrow down the search for the rules that deliver the kind of play and outcomes you are after.
