Psychosurgery and the WIL test
What are some ways to get the WIL test down for psychosurgery? Does the subject being willing alter the test or otherwise make easier to make psychosurgery "Stick"? Please and thank you.

They don't give numbers for
They don't give numbers for all the modifiers and seem to leave a lot up to GM whim. I'd say... Maybe +20?

Yes, I think you need a trait
Yes, I think you need a trait to make willing psychosurgery stick easier. It's listed in Transhuman afaik.

I think being a willing
I think being a willing subject doesn't actually help, unless you have the malleable mind trait.
You, too, were made by humans. The methods used were just cruder, imprecise. I guess that explains a lot.

Dystopian mind control tools are the key to a better you.
The best things I know of for this are the lockbox server and the slave eidolon. The lockbox caps stats to 20 and gives a +10 to psychosurgery. More importantly, the slave eidolon gives a -10 to WIL. Both of these are from Transhuman.

We have methods...
As has been said, being willing is totally irrelevant. Think of it less like therapy, more like surgery: the procedure's effectiveness or the rate you recover afterwards isn't greater because you were a willing participant. As SkepticalCat0_o said, resleeving is a good way to get around the problem. The Slave Eidolon is good, but the enforced loyalty is something easily abusable, and lockboxes are sketchy as hell. For those with especially resilient minds, an aversion to sleeving as an infomorph or simulspace intolerance, the Freeman morph with it's aptitude maximum of 25 and -5 Willpower modifier is even better, but it's a Biomorph so it'll be harder to find, especially in autonomous communities. As a houserule, I'd also allow the optogenetics and monitor modules to be used to help by expanding the effects list, either so that they can apply the Malleable Mind trait, or by adding the specific procedure to the list so that the module prevents the “wear-off” time from starting so long as it is active. Moving further into houserule territory, it wouldn't be out of place for there to be either drugs which flat out give willpower penalty like Oxytocin-A, or give a penalty on all actions like a “nice” version of Twitch or the Neuropath nanotoxin. Back in actual rules, the most drastic possibility is purposely inducing trauma or wound penalties... that is, torture... to reduce effective willpower, likely in combination with Memory Lock augmentation to prevent (too many) lasting effects. Finally and most simply, just using Trait Editing to temporarily grant Malleable Mind is an option, so long as the second procedure is completed within it's timespan.
In the past we've had to compensate for weaknesses, finding quick solutions that only benefit a few. But what if we never need to feel weak or morally conflicted again?
