Titan Topographical Map

[url=http://i.imgur.com/RhcNzPd.png][img]http://i.imgur.com/RhcNzPd.png[/img]... NASA released a fancy map of Titan's surface based on Cassini data. [url=http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/cassini/whycassini/cassini20130515.htm... it out here.[/url] I took their data did some Inkscape magic and then dropped the map from Rimward ontop of it. I then chose an arbitrary "sea level" which is within +-50m of NASA's expected 0m elevation level. I only had to add a few lakes and moved an island around for Aarhus but this is a mostly done version I'm willing to share. I think it is damn sexy. Kindalas

Nice one Kindalas! Thanks for the work, but could you put on a elevation key and distance scale as well? Those are things that are really useful for understanding the nature of the world.

Kindalas, I really, [i]really[/i] love the Titan map, but... Rimward page 90 establishes without a shadow of a doubt that Aarhus to Nyhaven is a 3,000km journey which can be made on foot. That's not likely to work out well if there's a gigantic fucking oil lake between Aarhus and Nyhaven. I'd humbly suggest revising the map to site Aarhus on a peninsula connected to the north shore of Ontario Lacas. It also establishes that there's "rugged hills" around Aarhus.
