Million Year Echo: Print, PDF, and Scott Fox Soundtrack!
Posthuman Studios is proud to announce we have reached a multi-year agreement with industrial artist Scott Fox (also known as iVardensphere), to create an ongoing Eclipse Phase soundtrack in conjunction with new Eclipse Phase releases! The first two Eclipse Phase tracks from Fox tie in with the just-released Million Year Echo, and are titled Qurain and The Blind Iman. Qurain Echoing what Qurain once stood for and embracing what it has become, this piece offers hints of middle-eastern flavor but is sparse, disjointed and broken. The Blind Iman Seeded in something disturbing this piece conjures uncomfortable, confusing and sometimes abrasive themes to embody a perversion of electronic warfare. Million Year Echo, one of the stretch goals from the Transhuman Kickstarter, is now available to the public in Print-on-Demand and PDF! Million Year Echo is an adventure for Eclipse Phase:
  • Venture into the TITAN Quarantine Zone on the trail of a scientist with a dangerous secret.
  • Locations: Explore the ruined Mars colony of Qurain, as well as a derelict airship.
  • Threats: Face new and deadly Zone denizens along with exotic digital hazards.
  • Campaign Play: Combine with Zone Stalkers sourcebook for extended play.
  • One-shot Play: Includes characters and alternate Firewall plotline for one-shots.
Million Year Echo is a 27-page adventure presented via Print-on-Demand and as a layered PDF with hyperlinks.

They are distinct purchases -- better for you as a customer (more choice), and easier for us as a publisher (royalty accounting.)

Excellent Hair Adam... and....
I'd love to have a suite of mp3s that represent the music, culture and ambient sounds of different major habitats/locations/planets. I imagine that the mixing of cultures... as well as the ambiance of different cultures... could make for some terrific tracks. One of my games is set in Erato... and I imagine a strong mix of Asian modern pop and traditional music, as well as the sounds of birds and monkeys in the bamboo. Extropia as a melange of musical styles, the call of street vendors, advertising AIs and people talking.... Hmmm... I should pull out my old synths. :)

I'll have previews of the music up shortly. DriveThru's built in preview tool didn't work like I wanted, so I have to clip them myself.

I see. Best of luck with that. Maybe you Can talk Mr. Fox and his crew into setting up a band camp? apart from being able to listen to whole songs for free, online only, and I am not sure how PS+ would get its cut, it would seem like a reasonable solution. Glad to hear there'll be a preview! I've got the book, but have been more hesitant about the music.

Neat
Picked up both of these yesterday. Very interesting stuff. Atmospheric, eerie ... I can dig it. If and when I ever get around to running Million Year Echo (or anything in the TQZ), I'll have to setup my JamBox and queue these up.

100%. It's a multi-year deal and Scott will be creating tracks to go along with many -- if not all -- Eclipse Phase releases.

Very cool. I like the EBM type of stuff that iVardensphere and having setting specific music is nice. Will you be releasing a full soundtrack at any point? Also, it would be quite nice to have suggestions for tracks that fit to certain locations and scenes. Maybe there should be such a "playlist" thread...

It's a possibility -- whether we release a formal soundtrack or just keep putting out a couple of tracks per book release or both, there's more on the way. Scott has a lot of latitude in this project and he's a huge EP fan, and we're all very excited about this collaboration finally coming together!

I'm just going to leave this here. http://www.thevinylfactory.com/vinyl-factory-news/introducing-the-worlds... Hopefully by the time the time an album is complete the technology will exist to make cheap low volume vinyls.

Did those previews ever make it up? I haven't found them. If they have can someone point me to them? Thanks, William
Han didn't shoot first. He was the only one to shoot.

Vastian
Recently got my hands on this. Has anyone else noticed that Vastian's stats appear to be for an Octomorph, rather than a Novacrab? Which one was it supposed to be?

He's an octopus sleeved in a novacrab. (But some stats did not get re-jiggered correctly). We've got issuing a patch to this on our to-do list. Sorry for the error!
