Greetings! I am a fairly obsessed table-top player who has delved quite deeply into the EP books, but has never managed to get enough friends interested to play a game. I hope to remedy this. I have exacerbated my desire to play this game by "ghost in the machine" philosophical balderdash and watching through Ghost in the Shell. However, as implied, I have never actually played the game before, so while I feel I possess an understanding of the mechanics, I have never put them into practice. So, questions will likely be asked. I would prefer a game that is done in a live chat, whether it is Skype, AIM, Maptools, whatever works. I am quite anxious, so voice-chat would be a bit of a hurdle, but I am generally enough of a dork to get too much into character and lose the anxiety of this ego whilst flowing into another. I would be interested in a game that has a good mix of action and intrigue, with heavy emphasis on roleplaying itself, and creating/experiencing an interesting story. So, Firewall seems to suit that best, but due to my inexperience, I could be acting under tunnel vision. By all means, if there are other groups/game-types that lend themselves to aforementioned parameters, I would gladly adapt. I operate under GMT-4 time, and will be taking a partial class-load this coming autumn. Therefore, weekends are preferable, but I can generally be flexible. Afternoons and evenings work best. I will have a more detailed schedule once I see what my workload entails. As for my character, I had one in mind for a long while, and hope to fit him into whatever game graciously endures my rambling. An octopus uplift assassin who works for the Hidden Concern, Mercurial-leaning, with a backstory that doubtlessly needs to have irrational stuff weeded out. I could contribute my understanding of octopi and similarly intelligent cephalopods to his character, which would hopefully make him an interesting addition to a group. I toyed with the idea of him being an async, but I am not quite certain. Anywho, thank you for enduring my rambling, hopefully I hear from some of you fine people.
