Missing Backgrounds?
Using Transhuman's package system, I want to create a character that was born and living in one of the settled and large communities on Luna or Mars. The available backgrounds seem to specific for someone who might be a banker on Luna or a Lawyer on Mars. What would you suggest?

You can always swap out
You can always swap out skills you find inappropriate for your character for skills that are appropriate. That said: why not use reinstated: civilian casualty?

Perhaps...
I suppose the skills for that work fine, although the Edited Memories trait for 5 is wrong for civilians who didn't witness the Fall first-hand and the description is off-putting as written: "You died during the Fall. Either the TITAN machines overwhelmed your area or you fell victim to transhumanity’s own use of WMDs or savage infighting. You might not even know how you died, as you were recovered from a backup transmitted off-world. However it went down, it wasn’t an experience you’d care to repeat. Luckily, you were resleeved quickly."

In this case, look to Transhuman's life path system as your guide. You can randomly roll Lunar or Martian settlers. These don't use their own backgrounds, but take others (usually Enclaver or Civilian Casualty) for the skills and put them in the context of living on Mars or Luna. I'd recommend Civilian or Enclaver in this case. If you don't want the Edited Memories trait, don't take the five point version (which you can't using Life Path). It's not perfect, but I think that there's a significant enough difference in the type of skills to warrant their own backgrounds. Luna and Mars also had significant TITAN activity during the Fall, remember.

a point based background
a point based background generator would be nice. or at least a a new spread of backgrounds. they seem to have gotten the least amount of love in the books so far
