Simulspace Implant
I'm interested in a implantable Simulspace server. Basically, something like you see in " A boy and his tank" by Leo Frankowski ( http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1434244.A_Boy_And_His_Tank ). In the book, the VR world he retreats to is small... a home, a gym, a school... so it doesn't have to be this huge world. And also like it to have the ability to VPN with others with the same implant. So a team could 'train' or attend classes together. I'd love some ideas on CP or credits cost, specs, etc. Thanks! William

It isn't really mentioned how
It isn't really mentioned how good a computer is needed to have a simulspace. We get numbers on what a simulspace account is usually cost and given that I'd say that an implanted simulspace server would be of high cost (becuase implanted stuff are usually more expensive). I do know that this is a thing that has come up in one campaign I played in and I think the GM then decided it was possible which I agree with. So yes and high is my answer. :)

If it includes a decently
If it includes a decently designed and detailed simulspace and some updates over the next months or years I would say high as well.

cost should be high but
cost should be high but remeber this all it takes is something the size of a loaf of bread to run a titan. most simulspaces do not need such hardware

I was under the impression
I was under the impression that a set of Mesh Inserts was all that was required to host a simulspace server - but the egos joined to the server aren't actually "in" that server, they're running on their local machines and are merely remotely connected in a shared perceptual space. Since we know an ego/muse can run on an Ecto, I imagine the minimal cost for a server capable of locally running twenty or so egos would be Low x 20, or 5,000 or so. Discount for common/everyday tech. Whether you could fit that inside someone's head, though, is GM fiat.

That's normally the idea for Simulspace servers, but I want my morph to be able to Simulspace even if alone and thru a gate. So its got to be a local server. :)
