I'm not even joking.
I had no plan for today's session, since I spent the majority of the week procrastinating, and the entirety of last night Kerballing, but my players had just changed settings, evacuating from Mars to the GYAtM swarm, and new players were also joining.
I set things up so an NPC my players already knew and liked (FUCKHEAD, militant anti-corporate anarchist,) was trying to have a one-man lynching of an NPC that one of the new players knew, who recently decided to abandon hypercorporate life after having his life be one gigantic water slide from high to low.
FUCKHEAD wanted a player to join the lynching. The ex-corper, Jon Carter (no relation to Jake Carter,) wanted his other friend to prevent his lynching. The second new player was summoned by the automatic door alarm for maintenance, because Jon was holed up in an atmospherics support room.
They roleplayed at each other for ten and a half hours straight. After the hostilities were defused, they went to an eatery to get lunch, drink, and become best friends.
I am amazed. Has anyone else had their players do something like that?
