So, was reading through Zone Stalkers, and to me one of the creepiest things in it were the Halcyon's. Anyone else share that sentiment?

Crazy drug birds that breed

Crazy drug birds that breed when unobserved? That was kind of creepy. I am partial to the Mantis-Shrimp uplifts and the Yazidi. The lizards bred to infect everyone with exsurgent virus was absolutely terrifying.

The "quoted names" are the colloq. slang that the Stalkers use.
