Introducing The RPG X-Cast, an Eclipse Phase Podcast (Actual-Play)
This is an actual play podcast which means that we sit down to play a game and I record it, make it sound nicer and publish it for everyones listening pleasure. All of our players and GM are RPG veterans coming from a long campaign of Call of Cthulhu and before that, some 4th Edition D&D. Our play sessions tend to be both serious and riddled with jokes, suffice to say we have a lot of fun during play and I would love to share some of that fun with other people. The Blog: http://rpgxcast.wordpress.com/ RSS: http://feeds.feedburner.com/TheRpgX-Cast On the blog I’ll be looking to update it with more material such as players thoughts, backstories, character descriptions and campaign notes. But for now, the first play session is up for your listening pleasure. Either all at once or in 4 shorter clips. This is the first podcast I have done but I have plenty of experience in audio technology and software so I tried to make it sound as good and interesting as possible. Hope you guys enjoy it and if you have any comments, advice, or just want to say you like it. Leave a comment here, on the blog, or shoot us an email at sentenial7@gmail.com.

Good to hear some fellow Brits getting in on EP! And running my favorite adventure too. Where are you guys based? How's the scene back there? I'm currently based in Korea and moving back in a few months.

Well actually we're all based in Hong Kong of all places. But is was an ex british colony and of the 5 of us we make up 2 whole brits (2 of us are half British). I can't personally say much about the greater scene in Hong Kong as I've only played with two groups of friends. Though I hear there are a couple of meetup groups that like to play 4th edition and one of our players comes from them. Anyway, salutations from a fellow (half) Brit. *Brit becomes a really weird word when you type it a couple of times.

Is there anyway ....
Is there anyway to download these files? I don't really do iTunes, and would like to be able to pause and skip ahead and back, which doesn't seem to be possible as it is currently setup. Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide !! Thanks for the podcast. I do love the actual plays!! :-)

If you subscribe with a podcasting app on your phone or mobile device you can normally download the audio file. On your PC you can use something like VLC or Miro. Alternatively you can download episode 1 here . But only just this once, I'm sure you'll find your own solution in future.

Session 2 of The RPG X-Cast
Session 2 of The RPG X-Cast is now up on our site. We unfortunately didn't get to finish the campaign this week as the party got caught up in side quests. But on the brighter side, we'll get one more episode out of this campaign.

Session three of 'Think Before Asking' is now up. It's our last session in the campaign with a nice wrap up to the story. We'll be starting a new campaign either next week or the week after. If not, I'll produce another short audio story involving my character Robert Affet.

New episode is up.
New episode is up. A plot seed from the previous campaign ‘Ark’. The players will be going back to Alpha Centauri B-D to tie up some of the many loose ends they left behind. Diona Part 1

I was really worried there wouldn't be a second Diona for a bit when their main way of gatecrashing was to bring a nuke.

I would never intentionally write in a TPK. I had written a solution to the bomb problem. Keep an eye out for the campaign notes which I will release at the conclusion of this campaign either this upcoming session or the next.

I'm afraid that's due to the way I hosted the first file (used archive) and iTunes wouldn't identify the file as an episode. I've since changed the hosting location of the file, but iTunes never picked up the new one. The episode is still stream able on our website or on the RSS feed. Or, you can download a copy a copy on my mediafire

Is there a way you could post an MP3 link on the feedburner site for each episode of "The Ark", like with the rest of the episodes? I saved them with VLC, but I seem to be missing long chunks of each episode. I am enjoying the episodes, keep up the good work!!

Media root folder where I upload the files. But please try and visit the site or stream as it gives more accurate data on number of listeners.
