An Asteroid... With Rings?
Apparently the fashion statement is so popular in the outer system that even asteroids are getting in on the act: http://www.wired.com/wiredscience/2014/03/asteroid-ring-system/ It's a centaur object (minor planet that orbits between the gas giants) and is roughly the size of Massachusetts (about 250 km across) and it has rings. Given where it is in the solar system (near the orbit of Uranus), in EP, I'm thinking either autonomist anarchist artist colony or religious brinker colony--or both. Could be a fun plot to run--this rock isn't big enough for the both of us!

I have to imagine that any sort of serious industry would play merry hell on those rings. On the other hand, serious industry on ANY asteroid large enough to boast gravity seems likely to form rings.

My favorite(besides Ceres) is Psyche, a purely metallic asteroid with a kick ass name http://www.space.com/24284-asteroid-psyche-magnetic-metal-space-rock-inf... You never know, it could be a failed Von Neumann probe ;)

As much as it takes to get
As much as it takes to get there and lay claim to it. Space is presently finders-keepers, more or less. Alternately, if you just want to name it... You should probably look up The Planetary Society.
