Just been pondering as to which artists/albums/songs people think could be good for backing music for an Eclipse Phase game.
So far, Here's what I've come up with:
Nine Inch Nails, Ghosts I-IV
Vangelis, Blade Runner It's Blade Runner. Enough said.
Muse, assorted tracks, but particularly Butterflies and Hurricanes, Riddle of the Problamatique and Exo-Politics (TITANS anyone?)
Sting, Fragile (It's off Nothing Like the Sun) Yes, it clashes with the above a little, but the song's themes work well with the idea of loss associated with the Fall and the folly of man that lead to it. That, and just because it's the future doesn't mean everything has to be synth :P
Dead Can Dance, particularly their instrimental/glossalia like Host of the Seraphim. They have some very expansive, emotive tracks that I always think of as being perfect for space battles, desperate escapes amidst explosions, hard vacuum and gunfire, and other simliar events.
Anywhoo, that's me for now, Please add suggestions.
