Depends on the size of the qubit reservoir? There's not one standard size for it. But bearing in mind it only needs to contain subatomic particles, it doesn't need to be that big to have a lot of stuff in it. You could hold a staggering amount of qubits in something the size of your pinky fingernail.

The book says:
The book says: Portable QE Comm: This is a handheld FTL com- munications device. The actual communications unit can be made as small as desired, but must be large enough to connect to or hold a qubit reservoir. Because qubit reservoirs are relatively large and must be replaced, they are rarely implanted. Some min- iature farcasters are designed so that users can also attach qubit reservoirs to enable them to be used for both light speed and FTL communication. [Low] Low-Capacity Qubit Reservoir: Low-capacity qubit reservoirs can be used for 10 hours of high-resolution video conferencing or meshbrowsing and 100 hours of voice or text only communications. [High] I guess that means the reservoir fits in the comms device, but it is far from clear.

from that description i am seeing a handheld radio battery. say 3cm*5cm*1cm, twice as thick for the large. but that's just the impression i got from some fluff text so don't take it as hard fact.

I took that to mean that much of the qubit reservoir is comprised of interface circuitry and a stabilization matrix of some kind which would knock them out of entanglement (possibly a cooling system).
