Dance possibilities with morphs
Here is an interesting YouTube clip with "best of dance compilation from the 4th Hexapod Championship 2009": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=msaWXY3OuQQ&feature=player_embedded Obviously, a morph with different shape from the basic humanoid has quite a lot of possible new dance moves. While enhanced biomorphs may dance in ways flats cannot ever do thanks to their greater speed, strength and dexterity the real innovators are the Mercurials. A dance floor filled with slitheroids has to be seen to be believed. One problem is of course that it is hard to dance with a partner with fundamentally different body shape, so many dance locations focus on one or a few body types. It is pretty hard for a humanoid to participate in octopoid underwater dances and 3D swarmanoid textures. Some infomorphs think the whole idea of physical dancing is pointless, of course. Why not perform program execution synchronized with music and fellow software instead? It is much harder than it looks, and *really* shows off your sexy resource allocation skills.

Not only different shapes, but different dancing conditions offer interesting changes. For example, I introduced a disco in one of my stories that had only centrifugal gravity (like all the station) but had metal on all its walls, floor and ceiling, so people were Freefalling from one place to the other, dancing all the way in the middle, swapping partners, and so on. Very chaotic, but in a way, coherent.

I take it by then, the 'robot' would be the easiest thing in the system? What with so many people actually being robots? :D

*groan* Headbanging could be a viable means of propulsion.

No, you'd have to get it *just right* unless you want a)to have all the synths laugh at you/ think you're a dweeb or b) to have the surly Reaper with a persecution complex rip your head off.
Just another Ghost in the Machine...
