Bump in the Night - Question
I couldn't find this mentioned elsewhere. Apologies. Bump in the Night starts by saying that the players likely egocasted over to the habitat. It doesn't say how they get sleeved, or what they get sleeved into. Additionally, they also only get 6 hours to do everything, including what appears to be some rather difficult combat. Which they are not given weapons to do, having egocasted over. Presumeably, their gear did not somehow teleport over, too. Even if you succeed at your resleeving rolls, you get -10 to all your skills for an entire day. Does anyone have suggestions for how to resolve these issues? Is it in the text and I just somehow missed it? I'm eager to run this game, and the module otherwise looks grand. I'd just like some advice.

Well...
A simple handwave is to say that Firewall (or whoever arranged the egocast) also arranged for gear to be provided on-site (another agent or dead-drop or something) so the team wouldn't be going in naked. Or you can make it interesting, such as the one time when I ran the scenario and had a team cloud-dive from a passing ship onto the exterior of the aerostat and sneak their way in, fully-equipped. Not the be-all, end-all of discussion, but just some ideas.

Good questions, all. Lilith's
Good questions, all. Lilith's answers work well. As regards sleeving, I'd say that, especially if you're running it as an introduction to the campaign, just let everybody find a morph that's like the one they bought at chargen. Not the exact same morph, necessarily, but "functions the same" - a female Bouncer, a hermaphrodite Slyph, a winterist Fury, a Masked Steel, etcetera, all with the same mods they choose. Especially if this is a cold start. As regards alienation/integration/etcetera, don't make the players roll those. Just fudge the timing enough to say that they've had a chance to overcome it all and get any necessary stress-reduction done to put them back at zero stress. As for gear... Well, if any of them have any rep they'd like to use to find some questionable goods, let them roll, again, pre-game. If they have g-rep, they might even wind up doing some business with our friends Blackvein, or Fiala O'Donnell (or one of her minions, at least.) If they use @-Rep, maybe it's Landon Markus who gets them what they want, and if they use c-Rep, that's a lead-in to their meeting with Jayden Smith. In any event, Jayden Smith is the security chief on Parvati. I'm sure he can pony up some standard weapons, tools, maybe some stuff confiscated from criminals beforehand, etcetera. So the group shouldn't go unequipped. Anything truly custom is going to be problematic, as the group is operating under such a tight time crunch that even with the security forces actually being the ones fabbing the gear they want, and assuming modern CMs with the setting unlocked (they are the security, after all,) it's going to take at least one, up to five, of the hours they have. I'd zero the "six hours" mark as after the group's conversation with Smith, and give them the option to do some stuff on Parvati before Smith calls them into his office to press them into service, giving them the chance to make some rep rolls, do some legwork, maybe visit a neotenic brothel, whatever they feel like.

I waived the resleeving rolls
I waived the resleeving rolls for this scenario. Having an async on the team really hampers combat resleeving turnaround time >.>
