I am working on the first session and I need to check if the plot setup works. Prior to the PCs involvement on an exo moon one of the gestalt morfs from the exhuman clade that travelled through discord gate came upon a titan experiment guarded by a force of titan robots and hacked the robots so they would do some mining for the exhumans. The PCs arrive and find a destroyed titan experiment and titan robots behaving like miners and shipping materials threw the gate. The question is, are titan bots theoretically hackable. It’s worth noting there is no active exurgent and no actual titan super AI present in the system.

It depends a lot on context, I suppose. Given that you're the GM, it works because you say it works, but some things to consider... TITANS work on a whole other intellectual level than humans. They were reprogrammed or altered by something that is essentially god. Therefore if these are things the TITANS created from scratch, they could be coded in some weird-ass xenoprogramming language unlike anything transhumanity may have encountered. Alternatively, these are things that humans created and that the TITANS repurposed, in which case there would be more room for an outside (human) agent to come in and tamper with them from the outside. Next, the exhumans themselves. How much do they know about TITAN tech and xenotechnology? If it's their field of expertise it becomes more plausible that they could do this kind of thing, sure. If they were genetic engineers beforehand, then not so much. Finally, why mining? It seems like it would make more sense for them to use dedicated mining bots which would be more efficient since they were designed for that purpose - even a TITAN-level combat robot won't be tailored for optimally stripping, processing or transporting masses of ore. Why not have them use the TITAN bots as escorts to their mining shipments?

In the core book itself...

Core book says that using Infosec on "Alien or TITAN tech" is incredibly difficult, but possible. Call it a difficulty modifier of +30 or more, enough to keep out anyone besides a specialist.

Titans had a base where they ran an experiment on some trans human egos in bodies that appeared externally human but where able to live on an airless ball of methane, ammonia and water ice. Several titan robots where guarding the place. Exhuman shows up looking for resources and as one of its minds is an excellent hacker it hacks the titan robots, it can’t get full access but inserts an additional set of priorities. Mine the meteorite and deliver threw gate to an exhuman base. The fractals do the actual mining, and build transport trucks other robots guard the site and escort convoys to the gate. The exhuman is disappointed because the titan robots are still spending the majority of their time on the experiment, so the exhuman’s soldier mind shoots all the people. The titan robots try to defend the experiment and destroy the exhuman. The PCs managed to take out almost all the titan forces, total casualty’s, 1 servitor bot inoperable, 2 bimorphs damaged. 10 head hunters, 5 hunter killers, 2 warbots and 11 fractals. 4 fractals retreated under the ice and there was not time before final pickup to get them. The PCs did find the village, destroyed human looking bodies (and found they were internally and chemically not even close) and the body of the exhuman gestalt (cyber brains wiped and cortical stacks removed) The PCs returned with samples from the human looking morphs, the exhuman’s synth morph and about 2 tons of the metallic asteroid that had been being mined. It contained a moderate amount of uranium and tungsten but was mostly iron and nickel.
