Some questions came up about dual wielding weapons.
Mainly, can you "two-weapon" something with Unarmed. It only says that weapons that come in pair count as one, and that extra limbs don't count, but what about someone using martial arts while wielding a tonfa or a knife. Could someone combine a two-handed weapon with unarmed?
The second was, combining weapon types, like say, a knife and shock baton. Or a psycho scum using a pipe(club) and a rusty axe. Rulewise it says you just apply a +1d10 DV and +10 defense and ignore offhand modifiers (do you ignore shock and poison too, like say, off-handing a wasp knife or shock baton?)

Two-weapon rules & ambidextrous questions

Actually a good topic...
Even further, is a character allowed to make an attack with a firearm and a melee weapon while dual-wielding? I'm supposing that both attacks would have to be on the same target, since this isn't a wuxia movie.
And just to clarify; I had dreamed up an NPC "boss" with two additional Plus-Cyberlimbs and some Neurochem, a character who would be using two assault rifles or one rifle and two knives at once (Why yes, they are an Ultimate, why do you ask). Exactly what would this unsubtle mess be capable of?

I have ignored a lot of the two-weapon rules since it seemed to conflict with the general feel of the game and setting.

Good point...
Eclipse Phase is supposed to be a horror setting after all, and going rock-and-roll with two pistols and a katana isn't what horror protagonists usually do.
My problem is that most horror settings are about mundane human civilians (or ordinary police at the very most) stumbling onto something strange and exotic. In Eclipse Phase, there are no mundane human civilians; the closest you could probably get is either an escaped hypercorp slave, a Jovian (who all have militia training by default) or someone from an obscure neo-primitivist habitat... all of which have an excuse to be exaggeratedly badass. Few people die when they are killed, half of human civilization lives in robot bodies, and you can bet your last point of F-rep that if it's impossible for a human being to practically co-ordinate two weapons at once, they've built a morph or an implant that can accommodate it.
The horror in Eclipse Phase isn't from the player characters being fragile and alone. Quite the opposite; Everyone has the potential to be powerful (even those who really shouldn't be), and you are never alone (whether you like it or not). We are powerful, we will destroy ourselves in a tide of hubris and revelry if we aren't careful, and we will be incredibly stylish as we do so.
So how would Wyvern and I resolve our rules question in Rules As Written?

Rules as Written:
No you can't attack someone with both a melee and ranged attack (would require a houserule).
Two melee weapons - pick your primary weapon, add bonuses to it (yes you can offhand a punch if you wish - you still roll skill of primary weapon). Yes, this means you lose the shock of the shock baton if you make it secondary to say your katana (you did ask RAW).
Two attacks with ranged weapons are resolved separately.
I'd allow a two-handed weapon plus unarmed if a player had ambidextrous, but RAW ambidextrous only applies to manipulating limbs (hands, prehensile feet/tail). So no according to RAW for two handed weapon plus say a kick/head butt.

Thank you!
This is exactly what I needed, and seems balanced.
...Theoretically, a creature with no arms, a prehensile tail and a "wrist" (well, leg) mounted tool implant would be capable of dual-wielding?
