Currency Signs For Credits?
Quick question: Does anyone have any suggestions for a currency sign/symbol to use for credits in this setting? $ feels like it will break immersion, as it is the American dollar symbol, and as a result, has alot of baggage, but typing out "credits" repeatedly is also breaking immersion somewhat for me as the GM, because having a currency without those symbols feels... kinda off. Thoughts? Suggestions?

D'oh!
Good idea. I'm wondering why I didn't think of it to begin with... thanks.

Not everything needs a "symbol". If there's only one currency, then if it says "cost: 200" everyone knows what you're talking about. I would simply use c if anything is needed, like 3000c for example would convey the message well enough. EDIT: To my knowledge, most currencies in the world don't actually have a symbol.

There are a big variety of currency symbols http://www.xe.com/symbols.php Also, the OP wants a symbol. To sum up your reply "you don't need one"...why go out of your way to be unhelpful?

I wasn't sure it was being unhelpful as such. If you're worried that a currency needs a symbol because your current world currency does, is it not beneficial to question that assumption? Since you already gave a very good answer I thought I would look at the issue from another direction.
