"DAMAGED GOODS" first steps... and handouts?
Hey all, finally got through RotRL (took 3 years!) and today is character generation day for EP! We'll start the first play session in a week or two. I'm calling it "Damaged Goods" because all of the characters tend to be motivated to do good, but their all horribly screwed up in different ways, and as a spin and jibe on "Necessary Evil" ;-) I'm trying to make character generation go a little smoother and we'll be using the package deal generation system. anyone got links or suggestions to good handouts I should give to players totally new to the setting/system?

I've found the stuff under
I've found the stuff under "GM Reference, Cheatsheets, and Rules Hacks" on the Resources Page to be invaluable.

I always use Kindalas'
I always use Kindalas' character generator in excel, although I've never tried the package system, so I can't really compare. When I'm running a con game for new players, I normally pull on the following documents: Eclipse Phase Introduction for Convention Games (cut down and summarized as appropriate to the mission) https://docs.google.com/document/d/1w1eWISEepQ6AIcFXmykfXBUfoVcgmmmub3kA... "10 Things You Should Know About Eclipse Phase" by David Cooper https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Qnrh0w7H0Jl2_CSsySRxcs4ugw27xsBIk5MY... "Eclipse Phase Mechanics Cheat Sheet" https://docs.google.com/document/d/1rO6XOXbBcVDPSrmAsdKEXMzHX9R1UhrjcFTV... (David Cooper made a version as well reformated to fit on a single sheet: https://drive.google.com/?tab=mo&authuser=0#search/eclipse%20phase I use the sample characters, so I've written out a second page for each of them explaining all of the equipment and such. It's not been updated for Transhuman yet, but it will be soon. Biomorphs: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1x5H1IabC2qihRG7abo6gcjjllrcM1Lg0a5hH... Synthmorphs: https://docs.google.com/document/d/15Zxsk5D9-cRQKI7Ex4d2FezEzOuCbbuqp3D8... Specific to Continuity, I've made a second page for each of the PCs, using the sample characters from the books: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1QGaRF7yJWWt_Mje4DJhEv4t5Tq6sI9LMNWSC... And a running Continuity cheat sheet. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1gCUERBSHXbQnOu2AgigTuTMcYjNGYSSuyZ3v... I haven't run any other published adventures frequently enough to do copies for them as well.
