I've been working on creating a program to do the random character generation dictated by the Life Path rules, and I've been wondering if its something anyone else would find useful, and/or if other people have done so themselves already. Its written in python (using 2.7, not 3.0+ yet), so its compatible with most systems at least.
Mainly I had made it because a) I could b) I was bored. I'm still making tweaks/updates/etc, and it doesn't handle some of the odd cases yet (for example the large text streams in the "Events" sections, it doesn't automatically follow those instructions), but it's been amusing to me so far.
As a random aside: Some of the random generations are so weird in combination, like going from human to uplift to agi within the Youth Path options. ^_^

You were born thinking you were human, only to discover that your ego was created as virtual simulation of uplift minds for research and they're seeing how well they can "socialize" you.
See, makes perfect sense.

It is a zip file to keep all of the files together. It is a python file, and a couple .dat files that contain the information for morphs, focus, faction, and backgrounds. [Remember, its Python 2.7 not 3.0+ if you don't have python installed on the system already]. I'm not really good at UI, so its just going to run as a console application. If you use the Autogen option, it will create a file in the directory you are running in.
An yeah, the simulation thing Works, if your Final part is AGI/Uplift :), its more if you end up with it in the middle. So like then its Simulation, Oh wait you find out you're an AGI, and then you go back into simulation? Thankfully, on the roll of 1-3 you ignore all the other backgrounds for AGI and well the Lost just ignore it all anyway.
