I've just discovered the game and the site, and am surprised and pleased that a game will soon exist serving Richard K. Morgan style sci-fi.
I'm also pleased that the rules are billed as simple (though hopefully robust) so as to not get in the way of the game.
From the other press material, I see that it's a percentile-based system, but that's about it. So, other than "roll under a skill on % dice," what else can be told about the core system mechanics?
How do attributes, talents, etc. affect all this?
I'd like to get a feel for the core concepts behind the system rather than getting too specific.
Thanks.

These modifiers can stack, so if you're trying to shoot the artifact out of the hand of the Ultimate Merc as you tumble end over end down a zero-g shaft in the abandoned hab you're gonna take a pretty hefty penalty to your skill to make that shot.

While I like what I'm seeing, I'm slightly concerned that some of the material might be a bit erudite for the mainstream gamer. Hopefully I'm worried over nothing, as I'd like to see this do well.
...and yet I still have the capacity to game ;)
You can't simply lump it all into "Sci-Fi" or "Cyberpunk." That said, I look forward to reading the background sections and see where it takes my imagination.
