Flow charts: Infosec, Resleeving, &c.
We've added a set of flow charts for key EP subsystems as a stretch goal for the Transhuman Kickstarter, and since we're close to unlocking that goal, we'd like some input on what you want to see in them. The flow charts are intended for use by both players and GMs during play. Their purpose is to speed up use of some of EP's more complex subsystems, such as hacking, rep, resleeving, and psi. Oh, and maybe combat. The idea came out of a few conversations I've had with other game designers, and from this blog post, which contains some really excellent observations from John Stavropoulos on the "UI" of tabletop games. My goal is not just to provide static flow charts, but for these to serve as an add-on to EP character sheets, with blanks to fill in relevant character stats so that they may be used to quickly calculate test difficulties for specific PCs and NPCs. The flow charts will be a collaboration between Adam Jury and I. We'd welcome your thoughts on what you hope to see in them.

Flowcharts
C/Ped from FB post: Standard Combat (firearms, melee, psi, chases). Network Intrusion and Subversion (hacking sequence). (Re-)Sleeving. Stress and Traumata. Networking (rep shifts and PR campaigns. acquiring information and services.) And maybe for the GM: relationship maps and scene connections for specific scenarios.

MESH stuff!
I've noticed during my game sessions, with two different panels of players, that the MESH isn't always well understood, at least about how it looks and what it is possible to do with it, from the player's perspective. One group is Shadowrun savvy, and sees the Mesh a bit like the Matrix 3.0 while the other has played Cyberpunk 3.0 (or, as it is called around here, Cyberpunk 203x) where the Net is an ensemble of independent VPNs and one needs to be present to hack in it, but also faces nanotech defenses attacking the hacker physically It would be helpful to have some flowcharts detailing stuff like that, both for the PCs and the GMs Also, for the Morph creation, what are the modifiers to roll on the required skills (like Profession, Academics and stuff) depending on what amount of CP, real or GM adjusted

The Mesh (hacking
The Mesh (hacking specifically), Combat and stress could use flowcharts and guides. Combat tends to be confusing to my players, and everyone except me is afraid to dip their feet into hacking. The acquisition of mental disorders and such is pretty confusing to some as well, at least with regards to which disfunctions to associate to specific events. A guide would be good for that. You know what else would be awesome? A character creation worksheet, something that makes the creation process more visual and simplified. That could be a damn handy sheet to have.

yeah this is needed bad...
my players aren't into the fluff so much, they are depending on me to tell them what has to be done but I don't want to have to play their characters for them in these cases... I want simple step by step answers to 6 questions via flow charts. 1) How do you find out about it- mesh 2) How do you get to it- travel, sleeving, forks etc. 3) How do you break in- hacking, security bypass, bug cleaners etc. 4) How do you blow up the guys defending it- combat 5) How do you get away with it- covering tracks, hiding data, selling stolen goods, 6) How do you recover from it- psychosurgery, health, biomods and implants, I mean yea you can chuck the book at somebody and say learn all of it, but that's not going to work with my group, I need something that actually outlines how to do this stuff so they can pick and choose their actions, maybe later getting more complex but yea... very needed...

first: hacking
I don't know why I have serious problems remembering hacking. Really. Maybe it's my age, maybe I spent too many years playing Cyberpunk. :-) So, my list would be: 1) hacking 2) security bypass 3) Information and service using Rep 4) Resleeving Thank you so much for all these amazing stuff in KS :-)
