Reading about Saturn's little "wave making moon" [url=http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-pSj3vyOoeOE/UXmqLs7EpRI/AAAAAAAAAH4/x32dWY51rC... in my current research on Saturn and its moons I came across this little gem. Jason Major: "Imagine the impressive view you’d have if you were nearby, positioned just above the rings as Daphnis approached and hurtled past, the rings rising up in mile-high peaks from the moon’s gravity before smoothing out again. Incredible!
And I’m not the only one to imagine such a scene either — apparently artist Erik Svensson is also intrigued by Daphnis, enough to have been inspired to create the image below."

Btw, if anyone has any good links to share with well organised and up-to-date data and images on the bodies of the solar system send them my way.
PS! Apparently it r... on Saturn from the rings - amazing!
I also just have to point at this beautiful false colour image of a massive storm at Saturn's north pole.
