Dead paper vs Tablet?
Heya folks. I've been slowly picking up the EP books and I'd dearly love to run it, but now that there are 3rd printing corrections on the pdf it's easier for me to pick up the whole line on pdf and use them via my tablet. So I'm going to ask those that are running the game right now. Do you find it easier to run EP specifically via tablet/laptop pdfs or using the book in front of you? Any suggestions for improving me running the game online using data resources? Must have cheat sheets?

I own all the books (multiple copies of most, in fact), and all the PDFs. If I wanted to use the actual books I easily could. However I run the game entirely off of my iPad. The Eclipse Phase PDFs are some of the best indexed on the market. I can jump to any section of the PDFs far faster than I can the physical books. They are also fairly well optimised, which means that flipping through pages isn't as excruciating as it is with some. I honestly have no reason, other than nostalgia, to run EP off of the physical books. I do keep one of my Core books at my side when I am running the game physically though, for passing to people I don't trust the iPad with. And I don't really use cheat sheets, but I happen to have a particularly good memory for both page numbers and the rules themselves. As such I haven't really needed cheat sheets.

Well, that's good to hear.
Well, that's good to hear. What pdf reader are you using? I'm using ezReader on my Nexus 10. I do have the GM screen and a copy of the 1st printing. For reference.

I find it easier to use PDFs because I can search them for anything I might need. I find it easier to have hardcopy books on the table because it's easier to pass a book and page reference around than it is to turn my laptop around (and possibly show my scenario notes).

The PDFs are actually very
The PDFs are actually very well done, and it only takes a modest computer to be able to load them quickly. But they are fairly big PDFs, so if you don't have a lot of RAM, they might tax your system. As for PDF readers, Adobe's app is actually pretty good on android, so long as you don't need to fill in forms (No native support for form-filling?! WTF Adobe?!?!). But it tends to be resource-intensive, so you might want to pick a different app if you're using a low-end device (I use ez pdf reader for my mobile phone). If you want a lighter version of the PDF, a simple search should find you the mobile version of the core book PDF I created, which eliminates the backgrounds and art while leaving the text. I made a thread about it somewhere.

Did you do an updated version for the 3rd Printing? Because I know that the forums have a direct host to your mobile version of the 1st Printing, but I cannot immediately find one containing the errata, and I cannot remember when you were last active. It's something I've been thinking about. So far the pdfs come up nicely on my Tablet. I do have EZ PDF Reader on m Nexus 10. I just want a quick reference for rules. Oddly enough I find Pathfinder VERY easy to run with the SRD page. So searchable!

I use my Kindle Fire HD to read the EP PDFs that I own. Works great they are stored on the Amazon Cloud. My Days of carrying around massive amounts of printed RPG books is drawing to a close.

paper books only for players
I bought only the Core Rule book in paper version because not all my players use pads. It will be the same with the new Transhuman. If they need some info on equipments, morphs and so on, they can check on the paper book verision, while the hight-tech Master read the PDF on his pad :-) Posthuman produce really good pdfs. Easy to load and to jump from one chapter the another. There's only 1 thing I can't do without: paper masterscreen and roll real dices :-) I did the Master screen by myself and there's no way I will use an electronic dice roller. NO WAY! :-) Ciao

Hybrid
I would run them as a hybrid, in my tastes; have the PDF's on file ready to go, and keep the books to look things up simultaneously. Tech is awesome (why we play this sweet game), but being able to flip through pages and get a feel of the book can also get you going. I only currently own the Core Rulebook, but plan on purchasing hard copies of all the books.
