Nanoswarms and hives- infinite capacity
Hi all, Simple question about Nanoswarm Hives. Assuming that raw materials are available ans specialized hive has its blueprints. How much and how fast can it create swarms. Let's say that players has this hive and for two days they want to create as much nano swarms as possible (that all will be useful for two weeks). How much nanoswarms could he create?? Thanks for answer.

The information you are
The information you are looking for is not covered in the various books (at least I haven't found it). Anything I have to say is speculation based upon related items, or how I think it should work. ---- According to the buzzer (core rulebook, p. 341), it can use a specialized nanohive to produce 1 nanoswarm per hour. As such, I assume that is the normal production rate for any nanoswarm by nanohive, regardless of the cost of the nanoswarm. So if given 2 days to work, a specialized nanohive should be able to produce 48 nanoswarms. As for capacity, I reason that a nanohive should be able to store 1 nanoswarm. It doesn't make sense to release any part of a nanoswarm into the world before it is ready, so I think it is normal for a nanohive to be able to store and protect 1 whole nanoswarm. There is probably tech and gear for storing complete nanoswarms, but I haven't seen any throughout the books. Unfortunate as I think that an injector that could inject a dose of medichines would be really handy to have.

To store nanoswarms, I
To store nanoswarms, I recommend a form of technology known as a "small container". One such device should be able to store many nanoswarms, packed up tightly into a loose solid.
