Has anyone else tried to use the character generator at :
http://people.clemson.edu/~spangen/eclipsephase/chargen.html
It works great, until the end. For me it just gets to the generate screen and does nothing. If anyone knows how to make it work past that point I would be very grateful. it is a fantastic program, and guides you through character creation beautifully. Now, if it would only finish up for me I would be in love.
Thanks,
P

Hey there. I'm surprised you found the generator, as I never published it anywhere. The reason why the button doesn't do anything is because the program is not finished. I've not worked on it in awhile, since I became very busy at work. I've also learned a lot about coding since then, so a rewrite is probably in order. I may get back to this project sometime next year, but in the meantime if you or anyone you know is interested in it, the code is available at https://github.com/JSenek/Eclipse-Phase-Character-Generator . The most useful bit may be that the XML folder has all of the items and rules for the core rulebook- this might save someone some time doing data entry in the future.

Thanks for making that
Thanks for making that available! I used it in my own character generator (same open source license). I have made since a few fixes to the xml, if you ever need it back, the sources are at epplayer.codeplex.com

If either of you want, I had
If either of you want, I had made some generic .csv data sheets for gear/factions/etc that have description, summary text, and some other metadata. I put it together with the intention of having it available for just these kinds of projects to be able to parse and convert to their own format (e.g. xml)... if there's something in there you can use, go ahead! I *think* they are up to date with core, sunward, gatecrasher, and panopticon...

So i just found this the other day and now i can't load the page. Is this still available or has it gone the way of so many other things?
Edit: Turns out i am just highly impatient. The load time is slightly high compared to what I am used to. totaly my fault. :)
