Exsurgent Interrogation
So interrogation of an Exsurgent will obviously require an Air-Gapped server, but how virulent is the cortical stack saved ego of an Exsurgent? Presumably the ego will be infected, so the air gapped server is obvious, but can a cold storage ego be treated to psychosurgery without infecting the psychosurgeon? And how quickly will any interrogating infomorphs be infected by the Exsurgent virii? I assume that a bio/nano infected Exsurgent will be a vector of digital strains as well, yes?

Not all strains of the exsurgent virus replicate in the same way. A biologically infected ego could be perfectly safe to examine psychosurgically. Problem is, there's no way to know that for sure without actually doing it...

Rajaniemi's "The Fractal Prince" has some very cool infection/mindhack ideas based on virulent stories - the pattern itself is a kind of basilisk hack. So look out for the exsurgent explaining what happened...

Usually the way to go is (as exposed in Glory) to make a fork of yourself and inject it into the server containing the exurgent, and then to check the for for insertion before reintegration. Or you can simply make the fork tell you what he got (after checking for infection, ofc)...
