Accelerated Simulspace, How do you use it?
I woke up with a character in my head that uses forking into an accelerated simulspace to...? After a review of the rules I'm of the opinion that there is certainly no tactical advantage to be had from accelerated time in simulspace. The only uses I can think of for simulspace are; Programming task actions Training Psycho surgury entertainment. I was just wondering how you all might have used simulspace in your games.

Mea Culpa: My mode of speech can make others feel uninvited to argue or participate. This is the EXACT opposite of what I intend when I post.

Having a tea party with your contacts while your body is falling out of a tall tree. Doing psychotherapy with your expensive hired mental health team. Slowly going mad as your imbecile teammate disconnected your cyberbrain from your senses and body while doing repairs. Researching a good comeback one liner in a discussion. Having a very fast holiday.

Simulspace Acceleration
In my campaigns, it mostly gets used for programming and building blueprints (using these rules) and for checking over blueprints for errors or improvements. Tactically? I think you're right there's not a direct way that comes to mind to damage someone with accelerated simulspace. You can't talk to someone who isn't also accelerated and you can't even hack a computer because the system is designed to respond to someone at normal speed. I guess you could be a tactician who does a quick scan (Quick Action) then has an alpha fork analyze it for a Complex Action (taking three relativistic minutes) which allows you to map out the area, read compositions, etc. Not anything devastating but it's something.

One of my characters has romantic trysts with his infolife mate in simulspace. It certainly makes relationships easier for busy people when you can do a romantic weekend in a few hours.

This is absolutely the best reason to pay a moderate/month for simulspace access! LOL but is that really feasible by the rules? The way I read it you have no effective mesh access from a simulspace right? So you couldn't use simul-acceleration for things like (Step 1) of online research tests [core p.250] but could you use it for (step 2) data analysis? What about things like Kinesics tests that aren't typically task actions? Could you, or your fork, toggle in to your simulspace (1 complex action) analyze your recorded experia for 60- 90 seconds (60 complex actions reduced to 1 by simul-acceleration), and toggle back to the real world (the 3rd complex action) to gain a +30 to your kinesics test for taking the time?
