Do you grant the 90% timeframe reduction of the hacking actions?

Instinct Sleight
As hacking is an action that involves more than just analysis and planning I wouldn't give it the full 90%. As it does involve analysis/planning, I would give it the 30% reduction. As to other task actions, all Mental Skill task actions (see p. 176) get the 90% reduction unless they need significant interaction with the world. I would also say that research gets the 30% reduction. Many knowledge skill task actions would also get either the 90% (for example, Academics: xenolinguistics to attempt to translate an alien language) or 30% reduction (for example, Academics: Engineering to figure out how a new weapon works).

I'm with Lalande. If a task
I'm with Lalande. If a task action is purely mental planning (simple actions are okay, like marking a map), then it gets the 90% reduction. If it requires planning but also significant interaction with the world (like hacking, or electronically bypassing a lock) then it gets the 30% reduction. Task actions that don't require planning or much thought and are tasks just because they take so damn long don't get any reduction.
