Invest in a superstitious fund
People are superstitious, so why not make superstitious AI? And allow it to invest our money? http://boingboing.net/2012/07/29/an-investment-fund-that-makes.html http://asuperstitiousfund.com/brochure.php The coolest thing is that the system apparently will change the weighting of different superstitions based on performance. So it will actually be figuring out what it ought to believe in. "I know and you know that the Efficient Market Hypothesis is equivalent to P equals NP. So there are always market patterns that can be exploited. But everybody are so good these days at finding them that there is hardly any advantage for anybody. That is, the solar market is the most powerful pattern detection system we have. Trillions of credits have been spent on perfecting the software by competing financial firms. Now, that means that the patterns they have found represents a distillation of what is going on in the real world. If there were any secret underlying order they would have found it - whether it is actually bad to invest in something with the number '4' or whether planetary positions matter. That means, if we can mine the pattern recognition software, we can learn the true secrets of the universe." -From "Financial Hermeticism: The Proven Path to Ascension" by Li-Wang Chou

I have heard of waving a dead chicken over your account management software, but this takes the taco.

But it's not particularly surprising. I remember in the early 90s, it was disturbingly easy to find programs all over the internet about tracking your biorhythms, or even tarot card dealing software. Superstition has always been a lucrative field for software. [reference to bible software removed to avoid flame potential flame wars]
