Hello,
I'm wondering what the differences between the two are (except the stats)? Do look Steel Morphs more like humans/artificial persons (like the picture in SUNWARD) while Synths are somewhat more "robotic" in their appearance (like the Barsoomian Freelance Journalist sample character)?
Thanks,
Mnemonaut

There are three Variants to the Steel Morph:
Steel Morph (Synthmorph): This is the basic version. It appears as a Gynoid or Android. Page 166 of Sunward has a picture of a female version.
Steel Morph (Masked): This version comes with synthetic skin so you can't really tell the difference between this and a human unless inspected very thoroughly.
Steel Morph (Liquid Silver Variant): This version has basically a skin of nanomachines that allow it to alter it's appearance to appear like any other Synthmorph. It can appear in human colors or shapes, but would still robotic in appearance.
That's what I understand from Sunward at least

I'll add that the regular Synth is like the basic Steel morph in looks, but with less detail and quality showing.
For example, you could say that The Vision, or Yocasta from the Avengers Marvel Comics would be an example of Steel Morphs, while a Terminator (a little covered up to not look like a damn skeleton) would be closer to a Synth.
