Gate coordinates are Epsilon Four One Three Mark 80 with the center hash symbol designated ODIN. Alpha One-Five in standard mission protocol consisted of 7 members, 4 standard enforcers, 1 heavy support, 1 EW Specialist, and 1 Level 2 Extrapolative (otherwise known as an Async or Psi capable). Members were suited up and mission ready by 0830 SLT (Standard Lunar Timeclock), April 7, 2115. After thorough briefing and final mission check, Team Alpha One-Five was injected into the Vulcanoid Gate with a preliminary mission time of 24 hours. After the standard 14 day timeline had elapsed, Team A-15 was re-assembled via backup and was given a full de-briefing of their previous mission and its complications. A second mission with the same parameters was scheduled to include an entire squad of DA TacWep sleeved in modified Reapers for escort. The two squads, now numbering 15 including an additional Level 2 Extrapolative were re-designated as Exped Team Delta Seven. Preliminary briefing and missions check were finalized at 0600 SLT on April 22, 2115. During pre-injection procedures Enforcer 3, designated call-sign "T-Handle" breached the Vulcanoid Event Horizon back into the facility. Hyper-containment protocol was initiated and the squad-mate was subsequently taken into protective quarantine. After another three weeks of thorough quarantine and anti-Exsurgent diagnostics it was decided that Enforcer 3 was safe for release and was reabsorbed into the back-up previously rendered. Debriefing of Enforcer 3 detailed a clean breach on the other side of the Vulcanoid gate with an oxygenated, breathable atmosphere with a slight increase in overall atmospheric pressure. Post-injection protocol was executed swiftly and efficiently and the area beyond the Vulcanoid facility was surmised to be of complete TITAN manufacture. Upon further investigation the post-injection facility was found to be deep underwater, the superstructure being composed of some kind of transparent, self-repairing, titanium alloy. After 10 hours of deliberate exploration using standard drone and personnel reconnaissance procedures the squad was compromised. The Extrapolative was the first to be lost, found dead in a chamber that resembled a control room for the equivalent of a LHC or other kind of fundamental research apparatus. No known hostiles were found at the scene however, an anomaly remained. Written in the blood of the casualty, now designated as a morph loss in action, were a set of coordinates denoting a general planetary longitude/latitude scale. Cross referencing these coordinates, now most definitely denoting Earth as the point of origin, the vertex was shown to be within the Atlantic ocean, just east of the Puerto Rico Trench. All missions were then scrapped and the gate location, dubbed Atlantis has been stored and isolated for further review. Possible existential risk factors are many and investigative powers have been given to team A-15 up to and including heavy low orbit surveillance for any kind of activity.
