It was very interestingly and quite fun. We really need to work on working as a group more, right now we are more two groups of two, the scum, an enforcer and a party girl/hacker and the mercurials, an octopus hardware specialist and an AGI hacker. Things went as well as one would expect, a simple information gathering mission hit the fan and ended up with a gun fight in a red district night club on Extropia. The scum members, the ones that caused the gun fight, ended up going through the front door, one running and seducing a bouncer to protect her , the other shooting his way out. The mercurials had the octopus crawling through the vents to freedom, while the AGI hide under a table and left with the panicked crowd. I am really interested how we are actually going to get the mission we are still on done. I think we are on plan B, but no one really had plan A fleshed out to begin with so plan B is completely up in the air at this point.

Yeah. Pretty much. I do like playing the role of the uplift's minion. Some where there is a Jovian grinding his teeth.

Yeah. I just have little social skills, and as of now, no need to be around. If it gets bad enough, I'll just have to switch characters, but I don't think it'll go that far. We were just introduced hard into the reality of not having a real 'face' character, on a mission that seemed to be little then NPC interaction.

Well it didn't have to be an NPC interaction mission but that is how it was mostly handled. There were some attempts at scouting/hacking the security system, some minor on-the-fly research into the target of the mission.. and a gun-fight. And some interestingly awkward social interactions (I just love how PCs just walk up to a big time crime boss and give themselves away). The next scene might be pretty interesting. However, this is just the beginning and there will be room for all sorts of characters if we can continue building this story.

In my defense, I seduced everyone up to that point to getting what I needed. Seemed like a great idea at the time, hindsight however, maybe not so much. Next session will indeed be interesting and cannot wait.

Could I get a SitRep on the game and number of players? I've been GMing every game I've participated in for the last two years, so playing a game sounds enticing for me.
