... is that I've had to send it back to amazon twice because the spine pretty much snaps in half in the first day of reading. Seems to start at the bookmarks and then go from there.
Right now my only copy is the free PDF. But I really WANT to pay them for a copy.
I usually prefer hardcover books for games, but sometimes I think softcover might be better. Would anyone else like to see a (slightly) cheaper EP Core in softcover, bound in that dang-near indestructible way that Palladium Books (their rules suck, but the settings are often cool and the book binding never dies) binds their softcovers?
Heck, I'd buy the whole line in softcover eventually if the Core was $35-40 and the other books $25-30, USD, easy.
Anyone else? Maybe this for the 4th printing?

Re: My only problem with the EP Corebook...
Nope. I have three copies of the core book, two of the first printing and one of the latest printing, and all my books have held up fine.
If anything the latest printing is far more durable than the earlier printing with the thicker print stock.

Another idea to consider... what would people think of a flexible spine over the hard one?

Well, a durable design would be a coil-bound book with waterproof pages. (probably costly)

Re: My only problem with the EP Corebook...
My copy is having the same problem and I haven't completed my first read-through yet. It looks like the glue holding the pages to the binding isn't as strong as it needs to be. The threads are holding, but it's only a matter of time before my book falls apart.

Re: My only problem with the EP Corebook...
Probably overkill when the softcover bound method that Palladium uses (or at least used, my last Palladium book buy was Nightbane) has lasted forever. I played Palladium games when I was a teenager, that being over 15 years ago, and those books are still solid. So, I'm just thinking with the size of the Core that a softcover version bound the same way might last longer. I know it's not likely the entire print run, but so far I'm 2 for 2. I'll try again in August, probably. I want a physical copy for use during games and making characters (easier to reference book while using Excel sheet).
Maybe see if DriveThruRPG can offer it as softcover or hardcover print on demand? That way it could be the buyer's choice.
