That is totally awesome. It sounds easy, cheap, and practical and adresses a real-world and lifesaving need. I really like it when research ends up producing something simple and effective like this.

It makes me wonder how much oxygen would be contained in a single syringe full of microparticles. The potential for this tech is quite high, and I could imagine a lot of interesting uses for these little microparticles.
And, it's a pioneer step. These simply hold gaseous air. Imagine the potential when we figure out how to make microparticles bond and de-bond with oxygen rather than simply storing it in its natural form. Very exciting.
