We were surprised and happy to see this movies.com blog post last week on "Why the RPG 'Eclipse Phase' Should Become a Movie." From the post: In fact, Eclipse Phase isn't just a RPG manual...it's one of the most original and exciting works of science fiction in recent years, even if it's essentially a game manual. When I look at the world depicted in Eclipse Phase, I see Ridley Scott. I see James Cameron. I see Arthur C. Clarke and Isaac Asimov. Agreed Quincey, I actually don't think a live-action series could do the setting much justice. At least not without stupidly-massive amounts of expensive CG. So I'd personally rather they got an animated series for the setting than some TV show.

+1 to movie/animated series. Heck even a computer game! I'm honestly not a fan of anime/animated fiction but I would probably watch this if someone decided to make it. I still have yet to play the game, bought the books because I loved the idea and story.

I think an Eclipse Phase computer game would work best - something along the lines of Mass Effect in terms of scope and depth.
