Morph Augmentation Questions
After reading the Core Book, I have a few questions concerning various augmentations. Any answers or insight would be most apprecitated. Thanks. 1. Does the “Enhances Smell” bioware permit Academics: Chemistry Tests to analyze chemicals in the air akin to the “Chemical Sniffer” robotic enhancement? 2. Can a morph simultaneously utilize both the “Neurachem” bioware and “Reflex Boosters” cyberware? 3. Is the X-Ray emitter (p. 317) small enough to be implanted in a human sized morph as cyberware? 4. Do any bio, cyber or nanoware implants permit the use of radar or lidar with a human size morph?

I would say yes, but only if you get the sense filter implant (Panopticon, page 149). Otherwise, you might take penalties depending on if there are odors overpowering the chemicals you are trying to detect.

Yes. With rating 1 Neurochem, you would have a speed of 3, and with rating 2 activated you would have a speed rating of 4... the maximum speed allowable.

Tough to say. I imagine that an X-ray emitter has a high power requirement, and so would not be feasible for biomorphs as an implant (without a separate power source). Might be doable for synthmorphs. I imagine it to be slightly smaller than a briefcase.

Not for biomorphs. There are robotic enhancements that grant those, and robotic enhancements can be added to synthmorphs.

Thank you. Also, concerning both "Enhanced Smell” and “Chemical Sniffer,” if your Muse has software for Academics: Chemistry, can it analyze the air or must the character personally have the skill? If so, would applicable Academics/Recognition/Knowledge software automatically be included as part of the bio or cyber upgrade?

Re: Morph Augmentation Questions
The muse could do it provided that the information is converted into data within the PC's implanted computer; the muse can't read thoughts. Muses can make free use of their skills as long as the PC doesn't actively disable them somehow.

I would say "definitely yes" for chemical sniffer, as it will definitely record in digital form and you could simply transfer the data directly to your muse. In the case of an enhanced smell implant, probably. You would need to be recording XP data to do it.
