Inter-Factional Modifiers
Hi all.... Is there a list of modifiers to apply when members of one faction interact with members of another faction? For example; In a situation where a Scum character needs to deal with an Hyperelite NPC, what modifiers would apply. As they are obviously from opposed backgrounds, any interaction would be fractious, to say the least.

Re: Inter-Factional Modifiers
No, there is no such thing. Faction politics is too complex for that. Sure, the hyperelite is likely to look down on the scum. But there are glitterati that *adore* the art brut and authenticity of scum. Jovians generally thing uplifting is a bad thing... but some feel honestly sorry for what humanity has done to the poor uplifts. Anarchists might loathe hypercorps in general but make an exception for employee co-op hypercorps. And so on. Still, there are likely some simple generalities: Anarchists don't get along with the jovian and hypercorp mindsets. Argonauts claim they want to avoid divisive politics, so they try to act as go betweens. Barsoomians generally don't like the Planetary Consortium. Brinkers don't care or like anybody else. Criminals are first and foremost *suspicious* about others. Extropians don't like imposed power but try to play well with others. Hypercorp-aligned people think most of the rest are crazy utopians or criminals. Jovians find much of transhumanity sick, crazy or just plain dangerous. Mercurials don't like it when you call them part of "transhumanity". Ultimates look down on everybody else. Venusians like to profile themselves as different from the other inner system powers, although outsiders might not see it. But this is on the level that Scandinavians are smug social democrats and Americans hate/fear anything hinting at communism or Islam - exaggerations and prejudices.

Re: Inter-Factional Modifiers
Essentially, the same way any character relates to another. The only "faction rules" in EP are the ones regarding favours (so, Reputation rules), and some disadvantages (black sheep, black mark... Blacklisted) I'd say that the modifiers are more a thing of individuals... but then again, it is a little ridiculous to try to count all of them. So a Jovian needs to be convinced by a group of alpha forks sleeved into synthmorphs and extremely "creative" biomorphs? Well, the arguments should be really compelling... for the conversation to exist, that is. If the poor Jovian can stomach that assault to human nature without calling for an orbital strike, then I'd say other modifiers are rather... irrelevant XD
