Not technically on topic, but this is the most fitting area on the boards I could find to stick this.
I've been starting to write the first major arc for a game I'm planning to run shortly, and I ran into a problem: eventually, the players are going to come face to face (metaphorically, at least!) with a rogue Promethean. I'd like to get across the the thing is super-intelligent and unsettling to be around, but I'd also like it to be more complex than just 'Take 1d10 stress.' I already have plenty of plans for how to freak them out as they're making their way to it, but I feel like the actual conversation with it should be more disturbing than everything else combined. So, any tips on playing an unfathomably intelligent AI, especially how to make it unsettling?
