Here's my character writeup; I'll get a full character sheet posted soon. 1. Name: Seth Gamal Nasser 2. Occupation: Explorer, sometime scum barge security 3. Faction Affiliation: Scum 4. Opinions a. Hypercorps: Seth's opinions on hypercorps are not positive; he believes that the hypercorps are tyrannical, exploitative overlords. He reserves special enmity for Pathfinder; he believes they are holding access to exoplanets (and thus the future survival of transhumanity) ransom for the sake of profit. b. Barsoomian Movement: Seth sympathizes with the Movement, and especially with its goals regarding deregulation of tehnology and mesh traffic. He's been part of a couple teams where Scum-based Barsoomian sympathizers have run black-market tech to Barsoomian groups. c. Tharsis League: As a dyed-in-the-wool anarchist, Seth isn't really a fan of government in general, and especially not a government - theoretically representative though it may be - that's that big and corrupt. Plus they're basically just in the Consortium's pocket anyway, which isn't much better than being outright hypercorp-owned. d. Planetary Consortium: Too big, too corporate, too evil. Seth's got nothing good to say about the PC - shocking, given his views on hypercorps. 5. Reason for being a member of Firewall: Seth was recruited into Firewall based on his ability to travel and gather information as part of scum clades, and his willingness to engage in a little harmless - or harmful - breaking and entering. He has turned out to be a tenacious agent, one willing to leverage scum, underworld, and gatecrasher contacts in order to get to the bottom of a mystery. 6. Character concept summed up in a few sentences: Wannabe gatecrasher / explorer / infiltrator. He has minor contacts amongst gatecrashers, and keeps up on the latest research, news, and gossip (especially what comes out of the autonomist gatecrasher crews and the Love & Rage Collective), but has never been through a gate himself. He's fairly handy in a fight, but prefers stealth and infiltration to overt hostilities.

Apparently the one I uploaded before had my Research skill at only 30, which is not this character's concept at all. Research is a primary goal of hers, so I pumped it, and it should be correct now. I'm pretty sure I have every skill necessary to do hacking/infiltration and general B&E stuff. If anyone sees something I'm missing, please tell me so I can make appropriate changes. I have gone through about 20 versions of this character since editions have changed and character sheet upgrades have happened with no easy way to copy and paste from one version to the next. If there's one thing this adventure has taught me so far, it's that I should never roll dice, ever. But at least I'm not dead ... yet.

And even if the criminal charges you'll have pending stick, you ought to get some @-rep with the more extreme elements of the Barsoomian movement out of the deal.

You're currently dead, so it's actually pretty easy to justify keeping you out of the action for one more session. Looking forward to having you back next week, though! (Getting killed buying Quarky as much time as you could seemed like the best way to justify you being out of action for several sessions. If they're not able to recover your body, your backup insurance will cover everything, but I've got high hopes that they'll be able to recover your stack at minimum.)

Oi, also looking for an online game.* 1. Name: Carlos "- Just Carlos". Firewall Alias: Cygnus 2. Occupation: Bodysnatcher (aka Morphjacker; a guy whose occupation is jacking people's morphs, and selling them for mad credits). 3. Faction Affiliation (if any): Criminal 4. Opinions on factions: Doesn't care, mostly. Doesn't like the corps, but also sees the anarchists as a bunch of self-important hypocrites. The Argonauts are alright, if careless and naive. Ultimates are not as superior as they think they are, and a nice source of high-priced morphs as well. Brinkers he can respect; sure, they're crazy, but at least they have the courage to be their own kind of crazy rather than copying everyone else's crazy, and then on top of that they have the decency to keep their crazy to themselves. 5. Reason for being a member of Firewall: It's something to do; if he's going to be doing something, he might as well do this thing. And really, he loves it. He gets a thrill knowing that [i]he's[/i] the thing that's standing between humanity and extinction, and the ability to operate with near anonymity, backed by Firewall's Ministry of Disinformation, is just icing on the cake. His ego-centric view of things is held in check by an equally ego-centric pride in his work; he'd die to preserve Firewall, because being the kind of person who'd die to save Firewall is pleasing, even if the actual dying part isn't. 6. Character concept summed up in a few sentences: Character is someone without a strong identity, but a very strong personality. Carlos is an alias; has undergone heavy psychosurgy at his own request to become who he is now, and remembers little of what happened before - nor does he care about his past. He is who he is now; the past is mostly irrelevant. Tends to keep communication short and too the point, on the job, but isn't above a little bit of trolling if he thinks he can get away with it. Can switch fluidly between being a leader and advisory, but is never afraid to make the first move. "Never hesitate" is the closest thing he has to a motto. Character skills include social skills, infiltration, melee combat, and some hacking and tech. *[i]Possibly[/i] willing to GM if necessary, but I have yet to really play an EP game (because no one I know wants to GM, so I'm always the GM). Also, for the purposes of this post, I'm using 'he' in the gender-neutral sense - Carlos has a very fluid gender identity.

Seems reasonable enough. PM me or something if you have any questions about the character concept or me as a player, or if there's something I can do to help out. I'm not adverse to remaking the character, or building a different character to fit the campaign or other characters.

Tonight and next Thursday will be my last sessions until Thursday May 24th, as I'm going on vacation to a place where I will not have sufficient internet access to actually login and in a timezone where I should likely be sleeping or just getting up at the time we game. I will talk to you all after I get back, but Tyrnis if you want to start keeping that in mind for my character she can either run in the background doing other tasks, or we can just have her vanish for some reason for a few weeks. Just didn't want to be in the middle of combat or something and suddenly not show up the next week.
