Hello everybody,
I'm not sure if I read the rules for handling two ranged weapons correctly (EP p.206). How high would be my modifier if I fire two pistols two times each (the character posseses the Ambidextrous trait)? Is it -20 or -40 just for my off-hand weapon?

My reading of it would say no modifier for 2 weapons (one in each of 2 hands) as long as ambidextrous was purchased for the off-hand. This would allow 4 shots at a single target without modifier. The rule does state that it must be at the same target, so I wouldn't allow the off-hand weapon to switch targets. If the character changes targets (say after the first round of 2 shots) he only gets to shoot one gun at the second target and with a -20 for changing targets.
Just my opinion, and I'm new here. :)

It's a -20 penalty for each weapon you fire after the first, but only while firing that weapon. So let's say you're an octomorph with 4 assault rifles (each in 2 hands, of course), all firing in semiautomatic mode. You would take no penalties from your first two shots out of whichever gun you choose (since they are coming from the same gun... a semiautomatic weapon can fire twice in the same phase). The next two shots from the second gun will both have a -20 penalty. The next two shots from the 3rd gun will both have a -40 penalty. The next two shots from the fourth gun will have a -60 penalty.
Ambidexterity eliminates one penalty each time you get the trait. So someone with 2 ambidexterity traits will only take a -20 penalty while firing his fourth weapon, -40 on his fifth and so on.
