There has been more than one post attesting to the usefulness of the Example characters in the rulebooks and NPC File 01 when introducing new players to the game, both as instant characters and as templates which give examples to be modified for various other character ideas, most recently in http://www.eclipsephase.com/planning-my-first-ep-game
So, two questions:
1. What types of other job/role templates would you or your players find useful?
2. It you've created what you feel are some good generic templates of this sort, would you post them for discussion and possible inclusion (with credit given) in the Eye? (If you are okay with a template you provide being included in the Eye, please say so explicitly!)

Re: Profession packages
Almost all of those are already covered in NPC File 01, aren't they?

Re: Profession packages
Yeah, but the NPC file 01 and the different characters presented in several supplements are all somehow generalists, meaning the "profession" package is a little mixed with unrelated skills. Also, some sort of explanation of the skills considered "core" in each profession could help a great deal...
I would make each entry in two levels: "Core skills" and "Extra Skills"
Fore example, Hacker.
Obviously, by having a look at the Character Creation we can see that Infosec, Programming, Research and Interface are four Core skills. Profession: Computer Science is also greatly interesting, as is Hardware: electronics. Academicism: Physics, Chemistry, Biology... those, while unrelated, are quite interesting for a hacker (I still remember Race Bartmoss -or was it another one? XD- saying "learn physical sciences". Why? Take control of a fabber using the mesh, and release some sleeping gases, there you go...). And from Panopticon, I would select Profession: Security Procedures and Profession: Mesh Networking...
What "Extra Skills" should have a hacker? For a Social one, Profession: Social Engineering seems right. For one that goes a lot outside, Investigation seems something good.
I think you get my meaning...
