Does the creative common's license apply to writing novels in the EP setting? And no I'm not talking about fan-fiction. Obviously you'd have to find a way to distribute a novel without charging for it (I'm thinking the Kindle store) but otherwise does it apply to fiction as well as gaming manuals?
I've considered a format for a semi-open universe construction rules based on the multiple-worlds theory. Essentially it goes like this: I write a novel. If I'm the first, that becomes universe 0, and anything I write that has the same cannon is also universe 0. Someone else like's my plot, and wants to fork off of it. They are free to use my plot elements up to whatever point they like, but they aren't using universe 0. Instead their's would be designated Universe 0.1 Universe 0.1 has all of the same history as Universe 0 up to the point where it diverges. Another person could come along and either keep part of my history and rejecting the second writers novels gaining designation 0.2 OR use both as a source becoming universe 0.1.1 Someone else comes along and writes their own EP novel not at all using the same history. It becomes Universe 1.
Actually in practice, the history of the setting as it's portrayed in the core books should primary. Perhaps by starting the designation "EP". So EP.0, EP.0.1, EP.0.2, EP.0.1.1, EP.1, etc
Obviously this could get confusing, but hey this is EP we're talking about. The fans are smart.

The end really is coming. What comes after that is anyone's guess.
