Not sure if this will be either good horror or a good movie, but it should contain some good ideas about adventures on the Moon.

Not sure either, but curious. The first thing I thought about when I saw the trailer was if this might make good source material for a scary world exlporation adventure. Probably won't see the movie until it comes out on DVD, too expensive

I take issue with it as it detracts attention from the Apollo-Soyuz program. You'll find more info on the movie than that interesting political point in space exploration.
So... you have seen the movie then? I haven't seen it, but I don't really see where it is going to take away attention from an event that happened approx. 40 years ago. ;) I think I am missing your point

No, I actually want to see the film. It's just that the movie stuff will -- and it already has -- out crowd the information on the real post Apollo 17 missions, although, it might inspire more people to do their own research... although, I doubt most people will do so and just they'll accept the movie at face value as fact. Although, these types of people probably watch Paranormal State, but their number is shockingly large.
Sorry, got a bit pessimistic there.
Some people will say there is no diffrence between pessimism and realism. I know exactly what you are saying. I just finished reading a book called "The dumbest generation" which (if you haven't seen it) is about proven fact backed up with loads of statistical analysis stating that people don't read anymore, or research anything or study or find out for themselves about the facts of a subject. It is a tragic result of the modern age that kids today don't have to think about anything, and they quite often don't care to learn about things. You have every right to be pessimistic I'm afraid
