Gregorian Calendar Date for AF0
I apologize in advance if this is something that has been discussed previously (or has been done to death). However, I can not find any mention of it anywhere in the forums using the Search engine. I'm wanting to know if there is any mention of a specific YEAR in which the Fall/AF0 took place? I swore that I've seen it somewhere, but admitedly I haven't read through all the sourcebook yet. I have seen instances where players mention 2130, 2190, 2197, etc. I can only guess that this is where we would be technologically, but if there's a specific date mentioned, I would be keen to know. If not, we'll go to plan B - which is making it up :)

There is not, and as far as I have inferred from dev talk, will probably never be a set date for AF0. There have, as you say, been multiple attempts to guesstimate an approximate time for when the Fall occured. Some of the things that went into this; The map of the solar system in the core rulebook features an alignment that only occurs every 70 years or so, or something like that. I believe this is where the 2130 number comes from. Edit :- 2146, and every ~90 years. This date also matches up with Uranus' south pole being in spring. Anything less than 2070 doesn't make sense as per the timeline in the core rulebook. BF60+ features space ladders, manned Lunar and Martian stations, and human intelligent dumb AI technology. There is the occasional concrete date scattered throughout the books. Gatecrashing features a woman killed in the Fall who was born in 1983. She could have been on the older sides of life when she died, but age treatments only became available to the super wealthy between BF60-40. This puts a limit on how far into the future we can go. I personally tend to go with 2130-2170. Actually I tend not to care, it doesn't influence my game. But when researching fun potential technology to add to my games as mcguffins, that is the window I use.

Well that makes sense. But ultimately, you're right, this isn't something that the game hinges upon. After all, I think most people want to put the past so far behind them that they don't care about the "old" dates. Hence the new dating system. So it could be anywhere between 2146 through 2236, right? I'm going to go with the "general consensus" of approximately 2170-ish (give or take a few decades). Especially since there could be some time lag accounting for searching to make sure the TITANs did leave, and the general decision to abandon Earth (plus setting up the Interdiction, etc). Thanks for your guys' input. I really appreciate it.
