Web-based Character Creator
Hey Everyone, So, I'm working on a web-based character creator. I sort of hit a slump in the project and I'm trying to get motivated to finish it. I figure if I share some pictures here and get some feedback on it I'll have an easier time jumping back in. Basically the UI design is done and some of the interactivity is implemented, but a whole bunch of validation is needed- plus I have to solve the login/account/persistence issue. Anyway, check out the screenshots and let me know what you think. No idea when this will be out, but when I get close I'll put it up in Beta and I'll stick up all the source too.

So... So shiny. If you finish this you have to update us. Looks fantastic. If you can get a working wizard, Eclipse Phase would approach my RPG perfection.

Wow that is nice. Keep up the good work, I would love to have my players use this utility to make their characters for my new game.

Nice work. And I feel it would be even better when it is finished. I am looking forward to see it. >sheet_gear I am afraiding Name column is too short for weapons like "Medium Kinetic Railgun Pistol". If you think you need to sacrifice other column, Description column might be a fine option. >sheet_morph Stats other than MOX are determined by Aptitudes and morph. Are they need input? Or they are calculated and displayed automatically? And it is possible to start with multiple morphs and some player want to do so. While multiple-morph adaptation will be challenging, I appreciate if you consider this update. >sheet_ego What is "X-rep"? >sheet_skills It seems all skills (include untraind ones) are listed. And it seems each field skills are given two lines. Is it possible to take more than two (for example, Hardware: Electronics, Groundcraft and Industrial)? >wizard_language Excellent. I can select from wealth of languages and pick up less-used one.

>sheet_gear Maybe, once I have all items input I'm going to play with it. In your example, the word Kinetic could be dropped. Unless I'm mistaken there is no "Medium non-Kinetic Railgun Pistol". I've got about 70% of the data entry done (Thank god for the clean HTML version of the core book) But yes, if I have to drop a column it will probably be description. >sheet_morph They are going to be calculated. As far as multiple morphs, while I completely agree with the use case, I have deliberately avoided that implementation for the first version of this. However, I intend to make it easy to copy characters you've made- so a less than perfect workaround would be making a copy and then changing the morph. In later versions, full morph switching can be supported. >sheet_ego A new rep for Explorers, introduced in Gatecrashers. I went back and forth on it, but including it was trivial. >sheet_skills This is an artifact of the core book's character sheet. My intention is for the generated PDF to exactly mirror the core book's- at least for v1. If you look there, I show exactly the same skills (and field multiples) as the core book. It isn't quite 2 for field skills. Networking has 4, for example. >wizard_language It is every language listed as still used in the core book. Plus, you can enter your own if you want to be weird.

Thank you for reply. And I am fine about first version will be single-morph one.

Keep up the good work -- I'd love to have such a thing available for my campaign.
